marks the fifth year American Farmland Trust has thrown a party for our
nation’s farmers markets. You may remember when we won the American Farmland Trust "America's Favorite Farmers Market" contest last year in the both the "Small market" category as well as "Favorite" Washington market. Previously called America’s
Favorite Farmers Markets™, this year instead of voting for your favorite market
- participants, that’s YOU, are pledging to spend dollars in your community market.
The pledging process is very simple, simply go to www.lovemyfarmersmarket.org
and search for us. Once you select your market the rest is easy, and there is a super cool No Farms No Food® bumper sticker in it
for you after you pledge to support favorite family farmers.
Once you have pledged to spend $10 in our Arlington market share with the world what you spent your “My
Ten” - and pledge again the next day! I Love My Farmers Market Celebration™ aims to secure $1 million dollars in pledges
by the end of the summer. Arlington, can you help blow that goal out of the water?!
The celebration is part of the American Farmland
Trust’s No Farms No Food® Campaign. Since its founding in 1980,
AFT has helped permanently save more than 5 million of acres of farmland.
